Most outfits at Shagufta Styles Boutique start with a date on the calendar. A cousin's wedding in three weeks, a family dinner, a graduation, a party you said yes to before thinking about what to wear. So that's usually the first thing we ask about when you walk in.
We're a small boutique on Hillside Ave in Glen Oaks, Queens, and we'd rather help you find one outfit that feels right than sell you three that almost do. We talk through the occasion, the colors you're drawn to, and how you want to feel in the room. Then we pull pieces and let you try them on, without any rush.
Some customers arrive with a clear picture in mind. Others come in with nothing but a deadline, and that's fine too. Either way, a quick visit is welcome, and so is a longer one if you're still deciding.
Shagufta means blooming and fresh. It's a good word to keep in mind when we're choosing what goes on the racks, and it's how we hope you feel when you walk out the door.
